Hello, I am Steve Duncan and proud to be a native of our beautiful Spokane region. My wife, Kathie, and I grew up in Spokane and then moved to Pullman where we raised our two children, Brad and Keri. Brad now lives in the Seattle area with his wife, Jessica. Keri, husband Darren, son Colby and daughter Courtney are living in Pullman. We feel fortunate that our children are living in Washington, where we are within easy visiting distance.
After graduating from Washington State University, I taught in the Pullman School District for 30 years. My focus for 21 years was teaching industrial arts and math. During the remainder of my teaching career, I helped design and place into operation the Pullman High School Alternative Program, located on the WSU campus. I directed the program as lead teacher for most of those years. Helping alternative learners and many highly "at-risk" young people to graduate and move on with their lives was a sometimes stressful, but a greatly rewarding challenge. I thoroughly enjoyed my time as an educator.
After retiring from teaching, we decided to move back to Spokane to be closer to our parents, and having grown up here, felt like we were coming home. We purchased a small piece of acreage on Five-Mile Prairie, an area we always admired, and undertook the challenge of physically constructing our own home (with help from family, friends and a local contractor). Of course, a large shop came first, on the pretense of needing storage room. We lived in our fifth wheel during construction which proved to be the real challenge (to say the least)! Once the home was largely completed I decided to move forward into a career of real estate. The process of designing a home, drawing blueprints, excavation, framing, wiring, roofing, siding, and finish carpentry was an interesting and intense experience, and proves to be helpful to my real estate clients when looking at the "bones" of a prospective home. Other interests of mine include woodworking, furniture construction, metal fabrication, and automotive restoration.
Most of all, I enjoy working with people. Helping others to find the home of their dreams is my ultimate goal. My clients find me to be energetic, professional, trustworthy, knowledgeable, and diligent. Attention to detail, integrity, and a pleasant and understanding nature represent my greatest attributes. It is this professionalism, knowledge, and enjoyment of the real estate industry that I can personally offer you. Whatever your needs . . . I will go to great lengths to make sure you are completely satisfied. The next time you require real estate assistance, whether it be for purchasing, or selling, any property in the Spokane area, please give me a call and see the many benefits I can offer. I'm just a telephone call away and can be reached at (509) 979-9133. I look forward to our future Real Estate relationship.
